Newfield Elementary School Roof and Indoor Air Quality Improvements

Constructed in 1966, Newfield Elementary School sits on a 12.2-acre site with ballfields and play areas. Newfield is a Responsive Classroom Leadership School that celebrates our differences in a warm and nurturing environment.

in 2023, Newfield Elementary School was awarded a sixty-percent reimbursement grant by the State of Connecticut for $350,000 in costs associated with a partial roof replacement. The project which will contribute to continued weatherproofing for the next 20 years.

Stamford Public Schools and the City of Stamford submitted an application for the second round of funding available through the State of Connecticut HVAC Indoor Air Quality Grants Program in December of 2023. If awarded, the design would commence in 2024 for construction in 2025 and 2026.
