In 2023, The City of Stamford was the recipient of State of Connecticut grant funding to build a new kindergarten through eighth-grade school on the current 10-acre site at Roxbury Elementary School. The existing school will remain in operation during the construction of the new building. The new construction is targeting opening for the school year of 2028.

TSKP Studio was selected in 2024 to be the Architects for the new school and is currently advancing the Design Development phase.

Arcadis U.S., Inc. has been selected to provide Owner’s Project Management (OPM) Services, overseeing the project with the City and Stamford Public Schools to ensure a successful project.

O&G Industries has been selected as the Construction Manager at Risk for the project with first phase of construction to start over Summer break of 2026.

At Roxbury, our mission has always been to nurture the heart and mind of every student. This summer, we aren’t just breaking ground on a building—we are planting the seeds for a future where every child can flourish. By August 2028, this new campus will stand as a powerful symbol of who we are and all we believe in: a place where our K–8 scholars can dream bigger, reach higher, and lead the way. We can’t wait to welcome our community to the new Roxbury in August 2028!
