Roxbury Elementary School Updates
Lower New School (K-4) Updates
The City has contracted with Gluck+ Architects, Colliers Project Leaders for Owner Representative services, and Gilbane for Pre-Construction services for planning and design of the Lower New School, which will serve students in kindergarten through 4th grade. The school recently completed the Design Development milestone and is preparing documents to bid an early enabling site-work package for demolition of the former 1970 school building on the property.
Early site work is anticipated to commence in April 2027.
The Lower New School was accepted on the State of Connecticut Priority List for 2023 and received authorization from the State Legislature in June 2024.
Upper New School Updates
The Upper New (5-8) School was accepted on the State of Connecticut Priority List for 2023 and received authorization from the State Legislature in June 2024.
