Construction Notice

As part of the New Westhill High School Construction Project, an outbuilding on the property more commonly referred to as ‘Old VoAg Building’ previously used for facilities maintenance storage and located along the west driveway of West Hill High School and south of the football/track field is scheduled for demolition this week. This is not the Agriscience Building currently used for academic learning – that building will remain.

The former facilities maintenance storage building contains asbestos, lead, and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) commonly used during construction in the late 1970s. Therefore, abatement activities are being performed as part of the demolition in accordance with all State and Federal Regulations. The duration of this work is anticipated to be less than two weeks and will occur behind a secure construction fence and be inaccessible to students, staff, and public.

The full Memo Notification is available in English here and in Spanish here.
