Stillmeadow Elementary School Twin Meadows Playground

The Twin Meadows Playground is a well used playground by the school and community at large. As part of District wide efforts to create learning environments for students of all abilities the surface was transitions from wood chips to rubber surfacing. Just under the surface the design made big improvements to stormwater management and drainage to stop water overflowing onto the grounds from a nearby creek.

In coordination with the Board of Education Facilities team some equipment was refurbished and a replacement Sway Fun® Glider a wheelchair-accessible glider that meets all safety standards was included in the project. While a great choice for totally inclusive playground fun - high demand and long delivery time for Sway Fun® Glider means it will be installed in early 2024 however the remainder of the playground remains open.

This is an oasis for children to play both in and out of school, and the investment will enhance the playscape for the children for years to come. The Twin Meadows project was completed in 2023.
